Highly perfumed and aromatic fruit, almost exotic in character, with plenty of sweet cherry. The palate is pure and supple, glossy but gently mineral on the midpalate. Very nicely balanced, with good, ripe, nicely polished tannins.

Deeply colored, concentrated and layered, with floral, anise, black cherry and graphite aromas, this wine is classically structured with excellent acidity, well-balanced tannins and a mouth-staining, persistent finish.

Dense and chewy, this is very tight and closed, but the glimpses of fruit offer tight mineral, crushed rock, graphite, dried currant, cedar and anise. Full-bodied and way too young to drink now, this needs time, but should provide years of rewarding drinking. Cab¬ernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot and Merlot.
