Where We Ship
We ship non-wine items (gift baskets, gourmet food & chocolate, gift certificates and accessories) to all 50 states.
We ship wine to select states in accordance with state laws. All orders are reviewed for compliance. If we are unable to ship any given order your payment method will be fully refunded. Currently we ship to the following states (this list is subject to change at any time depending on applicable state laws): Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin, Wyoming.
Many states prohibit out-of-state retailers from shipping wine to residents of their state. State laws on wine shipping are complex and under constant review, and we look forward to a day when all states open up to out-of-state retailers so we can offer you all our full assortment of products.
States with zip code restrictions on wine shipments
Local laws prevent us from shipping to certain zip codes in the states below.
States with additional regulations
Connecticut & New York: State regulations prohibit wine and food from being shipped in the same package. Gifts & Baskets ordered that include both food and wine will be sent in two separate packages.
Texas: Texas state law prohibits us from shipping wines containing more than 16% alcohol.
2. Shipping Rates - What do you charge for shipping?
For standard, non-scheduled delivery, Shipping and Handling rates will vary.
WINE orders: The cart will calculate the rate based on the number of bottles ordered. The standard rate for each selection will be reflected in the shopping cart and will update as items in the cart are updated.
Non-Wine Items: The rate will vary based on size, weight and contents. The standard rate for each selection will be reflected in the shopping cart and will update as items in the cart are updated.
Alaska & Hawaii Deliveries:
For shipping to Alaska and Hawaii, $10.00 will be added to the shipping method you select.
During extreme temperature (hot or cold):
Shipping may be delayed unless express shipping is directly requested. You will be contacted in such an event before final processing of your order.
Note: Select merchandise may require additional shipping charges which will be reflected at checkout.
3. Bottle Limits
In most states, regulations limit the amount of wine that can be shipped to a single address in a given period of time. The limits vary state to state, some with monthly limits and others with yearly limits. Because of these regulations, all orders will be reviewed and manually verified for compliance.
4. Shipping Outside U.S.
At this time, Los Gatos Wines ships only to addresses within the 50 U.S. states.
5. Shipping Issues and Returns
5.1. Damaged or Incorrect Items
If you received any damage items we will do our best to replace them. (Note: For Old and Rare wines this may not be possible. In this event please contact us for further information)
Please be sure to hold on to any damage goods as we will need to process a damage claim with the carrier. Please do not discard any damage goods without first contacting us.
INCORRECT OR MISSING ITEMS:
Although not common sometimes mistakes happen with shipping. If you received the wrong item, or a missing item please contact us for replacement. Do not discard any of the items you were sent and please hold on to them and the packaging material as we arrange for the items to be picked up for return.

Click Contact Us on the top menu bar and fill out the form with as much information as possible. Be sure to include at the very minimum the issue, your name, and your order number.
If an order is returned to us after several delivery attempts to the address provided, we would be happy to re-ship your items.
Note: If the failed delivery was not due to an error on behalf of Los Gatos Wines, or the carrier you will be charged the cost of shipping for the re-shipment. This charge will be the same as the original shipping charge as noted in the original email confirmation.
5.3. Return Policy
Los Gatos Wines cares about your satisfaction and we always try our best to deliver our products accurately and in a timely manner. If you are dissatisfied with your purchase please contact us within 30 days of your purchase date by using the contact form on our Contact Us page.
NOTE: Following Wine-Trade standards all bottles over 10 years old are sold at the buyer's risk. All older bottles are either stored at our climate controlled facilities, or are purchased from highly reputable sources.
Merchandise Damaged in Shipping
It is uncommon to receive a damaged product from Los Gatos Wines; however, in the event you do experience a problem with a shipment, please contact us within 30 days of your purchase date by filling out the form on our Contact Us page. At our discretion we may offer a replacement, a discount, a refund or an account credit to be used for a later purchase.
Dissatisfaction with the Quality/Taste of Wine Received
We at Los Gatos Wines do our best to provide you with some of the best wines in the world. We do our best to help you choose wines that you will fully enjoy. We attempt to provide information, tasting notes, and more to assist your purchase. However, we are unable to guarantee that you will enjoy every bottle of wine you purchase. In the event you do experience a problem with the quality/taste of a bottle (defect, and not personal preference), please contact us within 30 days of your purchase date and provide the details of your problem. In this case we can provide you with a replacement. We are unable to provide a refund at this time for taste issues.
Returns and Shipping Charges
Returns for refund will be processed less the original shipping and handling charges, and return shipping and handling charges.
